Lakeland Angling Centre & Midsummer LakehouseLakeland Angling Centre - June 2009 report

Gary Costelloe reports that June rolled along quietly yielding quality rather than quantity. Most of the notable catches were early in the month. There were still some mayfly hatches in Portacarron Bay.
Jerry Lucey from California had some beautiful California weather while on a fishing trip to Corrib this June but with the expert guidance of guide Patrick Molloy managed to land four great trout over the seven days, best 7 lbs.

Jim Cuthbert along with Margaret and grandson Lachlan from Edinburgh fishing wet fly in early June landed seven lovely trout for the week and returned with great tals of the whopper that broke Lachlan's line and kept him busy for 30 minutes with his grandfather giving instructions before fleeing the scene and leaving Lachlan vowing to return next year to have another go.
Frank McGeehan from Newmarket on Fergus brought home four lovely fish on the dap, the best one being 4 lbs 6 ozs in Portacarroon Bay just in front of Inishcash.
