The week ending July 25th was the most prolific of the month, producing 11 fish in the seven days of fishing. A notable day being the 21st of the month, in which Jack Meredith managed to land 3 fine fish, the best weighing somewhere in the region of 12 lbs.
Since the 25th, the fishing has slowed down on the river. Perpetual high water and gale force winds have made for tough fishing on the system, with the week ending August 1st producing 6 hard earned fish. There is plenty of water in the river at present, and with the size of the tides at the moment we are hopeful for another good run of Grilse. There are 60 fish in the book as of August 3rd, with plenty more fish being seen throughout the river.
