The first salmon of the season was taken at The Derryclare Butts on May 30 by visiting lady angler Alice Swiderski from the USA. The fish weighed 4.5lbs and took a size 10 Silver Badger. The Salmon run has just started and the water levels are perfect at time of writing. No Sea Trout have been recorded so far, but June is usually the month we see the start of our run. Some of our anglers have had decent Brown Trout on Lough Corrib during the mayfly as it is only a 25 minute drive from Lough Inagh Lodge to the big lake.
